A high-quality floor monitor has to be able to cope with the demands of your average live performance. It has to deal with physical strain as well as with a whole heap of sound! If you are looking for a powerful, attractively priced model, the DAP Audio M12 is what you should consider. This active monitor with its wedge-shaped housing is completely attuned to floor-positioned use. The black steel grille protects the speakers and the housing of 15mm multiplex ensures durable solidity.
DAP M12: Built-In Amplification
For the amplification of this monitor you won't need a separate amplifier module. A modern Class-D amplifier produces a total power of 415 Watts. This monitor's woofer measures 12 inches and produces 350 Watts. It easily reproduces lower frequencies - the M12's lower limit is 65 Hz. The high tones are provided by a 1-inch neodymium compression driver, which receives 65 Watts. This Class-D amplifier is highly efficient in its power consumption. Besides a crystal-clear sound, it emits limited heat.
Connectors
The M12 is powered via the well-known lockable blue connector. An audio input in the shape of a combined XLR/jack connector can also be found. Daisy-chaining is made possible via the XLR link out and the white lockable AC link. Besides the rotary volume knob, two switches have been provided: one for the setting of the EQ preset: monitor or FOH. FOH can be used when the M12 is mounted on a speaker stand in an upright position. The other switch controls the ground lift. DAPs Audio M12 does precisely what is expected of it and it does so at an attractive price.

Met onze band treden we regelmatig op en we hebben een broertje dood aan veel apparatuur mee te leuren. Zo haddden we nog oude passieve vloermonitors die erg zwaar waren en lastig te vervoeren. De reden dar we voor DAP M12 hebben gekozen is de compactheid en inzetbaarheid. De powered speakers hebben genoeg power en hebben een mooie klank. De aansluitingen zijn uitgebreid aanwezig en dik in orde, vooral de voedingskabels zitten erg solide verankerd in de monitors. Kortom veel waar voor je geld!

Een zeer prettige compacte vloer monitor.
Als gitarist sjouw ik me vaak een bult maar ik wil mezelf ook goed horen (lees hard). Voor mij heeft deze monitor het beide. Zowel licht als gewicht, prettig te sjouwen, prettig qua formaat in de auto en flink goed geluid. En daarbij ook prettig geprijsd.
Enige minpuntje, de voedingskabel is anders dan de standaard voedingskabel, dus ik heb geen reserve. Maar, de voedingskabel zit wel goed vast in de monitor, dat is dan weer een pre.
